The U.S. District Court for the District of Iowa met here until the creation of the Southern District in 1882; the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa met here from 1882 until 1929; the U.S. Circuit Court for the District of Iowa met here until the creation of the Southern District in 1882; the U.S. Circuit Court for the Southern District of Iowa met here from 1882 until that court was abolished in 1912.
Razed in 1968.
