U.S. Court House, Custom House, and Post Office (1892)
Completed in 1892.
The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas met here until the creation of the Southern District in 1902; the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas met here from 1902 until 1931; the U.S. Circuit Court for the Western District of Texas met here until the creation of the Southern District in 1902; the U.S. Circuit Court for the Southern District of Texas met here from 1902 until that court was abolished in 1912.
Building razed.
