The Southern District of California forwards a rule change to the Court Administration Division at the Administrative Office. This rule change calls for court officers in the district to "order non-binding arbitration/mediation in any case where the Judicial Officer believes arbitration/mediation might result in a cost-effective resolution to the lawsuit."
