U.S. District Court for the District of Utah: Legislative History

Congress organized Utah as one judicial district, authorized one judgeship for the U.S. district court, and assigned the District of Utah to the Eighth Circuit. The act became effective upon the admission of the State of Utah on January 4, 1896.
