Judge, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi
Nominated by Franklin D. Roosevelt on January 30, 1937, to a seat vacated by Edwin R. Holmes. Confirmed by the Senate on February 2, 1937, and received commission on February 3, 1937. Served as chief judge, 1961-1962. Service terminated on April 26, 1965, due to death.
