Judge, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas
Nominated by Franklin D. Roosevelt on January 31, 1941, to a seat vacated by Heartsill Ragon. Confirmed by the Senate on January 31, 1941, and received commission on March 12, 1941. Served as chief judge, 1958-1967. Assumed senior status on February 28, 1967. Service terminated on January 30, 1981, due to death.
