Nominated by Dwight D. Eisenhower on February 16, 1959, to a seat vacated by Jacob Weinberger. Confirmed by the Senate on September 9, 1959, and received commission on September 10, 1959. Served as chief judge, 1967-1969. Service terminated on November 19, 1969, due to death.
