Judge, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri
Nominated by Jimmy Carter on May 24, 1979, to a new seat authorized by 92 Stat. 1629. Confirmed by the Senate on September 25, 1979, and received commission on September 26, 1979. Served as chief judge, 1985-1990. Assumed senior status on October 5, 1991. Service terminated on July 11, 2016, due to death.
