Judge, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas
Nominated by Harry S Truman on May 16, 1951, to a seat vacated by Randolph Bryant. Confirmed by the Senate on June 7, 1951, and received commission on June 8, 1951. Served as chief judge, 1954-1967. Service terminated on February 23, 1967, due to death.
