Nominated by Richard M. Nixon on April 23, 1969, to a seat vacated by John A. Danaher. Confirmed by the Senate on May 5, 1969, and received commission on May 6, 1969. Assumed senior status on May 31, 1982. Service terminated on December 19, 1985, due to death.
