Nominated by Richard M. Nixon on April 22, 1974, to a seat vacated by Leo Brewster. Confirmed by the Senate on June 13, 1974, and received commission on June 20, 1974. Served as chief judge, 1986-1989. Assumed senior status due to certified disability on January 17, 1990. Service terminated on November 6, 1991, due to death.
