Nominated by Calvin Coolidge on March 18, 1925, to a new seat authorized by 43 Stat. 1098. Confirmed by the Senate on March 18, 1925, and received commission on March 18, 1925. Assumed senior status on February 28, 1937. Service terminated on January 24, 1940, due to death.
