Nominated by Dwight D. Eisenhower on November 10, 1954, to a seat vacated by Walter M. Bastian. Confirmed by the Senate on December 2, 1954, and received commission on December 3, 1954. Assumed senior status on December 17, 1967. Service terminated on November 29, 1975, due to death.
