Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit
Nominated by Dwight D. Eisenhower on February 19, 1958, to a seat vacated by Charles Evans Whittaker. Confirmed by the Senate on March 4, 1958, and received commission on March 12, 1958. Served as chief judge, 1970-1973. Assumed senior status on July 14, 1973. Service terminated on November 30, 1980, due to death.
