Judge, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania
Nominated by Calvin Coolidge on March 3, 1927, to a new seat authorized by 44 Stat. 1347. Confirmed by the Senate on March 3, 1927, and received commission on March 3, 1927. Served as chief judge, 1948-1958. Assumed senior status on May 1, 1958. Service terminated on November 28, 1970, due to death.
