Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit
Nominated by Richard M. Nixon on October 7, 1969, to a seat vacated by Claude Feemster Clayton. Confirmed by the Senate on October 15, 1969, and received commission on October 17, 1969. Served as chief judge, 1981-1992. Service terminated on January 15, 1992, due to retirement.
