The Circuit Court of the District of Columbia met here from 1823 until that court was abolished in 1863; the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia met here from 1863 until 1936; the District Court of the United States for the District of Columbia met here from 1936 until 1948; the United States District Court for the District of Columbia met here from 1948 until 1952; the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia met here from 1893 until 1910.
Now in use by local government.
