The Chief Justice of Namibia and representatives from the Ministry of Justice came to the Center in 2014 to discuss proposed legislation transferring administrative oversight of the courts from the Ministry to the judiciary. This visit launched a series of exchanges between the Namibian judiciary and the Center, including consultations on strategies for implementing the new legislation, proposed criminal justice reforms, and judicial education. These programs were funded by the State Department and the U.S. Embassy in Windhoek.
