Judge Katsuyuki Matsuda, of the 1st Criminal Division of the Nagoya High Court in Japan, was a Fellow at the Center in September 2024. He was selected by the Supreme Court of Japan to explore US policy and practices related to pretrial detention and the use of electronic monitoring.
