ALBANIA

The Center's Research Division conducts empirical and exploratory research on case management, court administration, rules of procedure, and other areas. Its staff of lawyers and social scientists have expertise relevant to judicial reform initiatives undertaken by the judiciaries of other countries. Research staff have worked on projects and participated in conferences around the world, including Djibouti, Kazakhstan, Slovenia, Trinidad and Tobago, Ukraine, Kosovo, and the United Arab Emirates. In 2011, a team from the Research Division traveled to Tirana, Albania to help the judiciary design a methodology for collecting data on courtroom usage.
