Open World Program at the Federal Judicial Center
The Open World Leadership Center, created by the Library of Congress in 2000, brings current and future leaders from post-Soviet countries to the United States for professional and cultural exchanges. The Open World rule of law program provides participants the opportunity to spend a week with federal and state court judges in cities across the United States. Visiting delegations learn about U.S. democratic institutions, the legal system, and court operations. The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts hosts a day-long orientation for Open World delegations that includes a presentation by Federal Judicial Center staff.
