The Federal Judicial Center has an ongoing partnership with the judiciary of Uzbekistan. In November 2016, the Center hosted Uzbek judges and Ministry of Justice officials for a program focusing on recent judicial reform initiatives, including efforts to enhance independence and streamline criminal proceedings. The Uzbek delegation also visited the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. This program was funded by the U.S. Department of State.
