Johnson; nominated to the same position by Franklin D. Roosevelt on January 8, 1934. Confirmed by the Senate on February 20, 1934, and received commission on March 1, 1934. Served as chief judge, 1957-1959. Service terminated on June 12, 1960, due to death.
