In 2003 the Center

• provided 490 educational programs (including educational programs broadcast on the Federal Judicial Television Network) for an estimated 32,000 federal judge and court staff participants (more)
• completed 10 major research and evaluation projects, continued work on 33 others, and responded to many other requests for short-term research assistance (more)
• distributed more than 42,000 copies of its publications and published or updated 6 reports, manuals, monographs, or reference guides, as well as making many of them available on line (more)
• answered some 1,800 information requests from judges, court staff, and others and distributed almost 3,300 audio, video, and multimedia programs (more)
• hosted seminars or briefings for more than 370 foreign judges and officials representing 118 countries (more)
• continued its work researching the history of the federal courts and encouraging federal judicial history projects inside and outside the courts (more)
• supported several of its educational programs with funds donated to the Federal Judicial Center Foundation (more)
• saw changes to the Center board and its director (more)
